I urge you to crawl out from under your rock a little more often and join us where the grass is a little greener and beverage temperatures are perfectly maintained for hours beyond what logic says possible. How? You may ask.... Science. Thats how. I'll leave the technical specifics up to the experts of the YETI company. Just trust me. It is just a-ma-zing.

The Engraving Process
There are 2 types of engraving machines dominating the YETI market.
1) The Fibermark Laser - Our personal favorite. This machine is strong enough to actually etch into the stainless steel of your YETI. We recommend this because it is a permanent marking on your cup. It will not rub off with use or peel or scratch off. Its there to stay. If you're going to spend the extra money to have your cup personalized, you don't want it to be removable. The Fibermark Laser is capable of grey scale engraving, giving you shades to differentiate between colors. (Think of your colored logo printed in black and white.) The engraving burns the metal to a "bronzy" blackish-brown color, which has a nice contrast.
2) CO2 Laser - The other most common lasering process for YETIs is a CO2 Laser. This is a surface marking made by using a spray before engraving that when hit with the laser adheres to the cup. The excess is wiped clean, leaving only the design. Although the marking is darker than fibermarking, it is not a permanent process, and with use of the cup your design can eventually wear off.
