Valve Tag Etching, Engraving, and Marking Options
We offer customized solutions to meet your specific needs, and work with a variety of materials and processes. We can create valve tags with the custom information you specify.
Laser Engraving - Lasers can engrave, etch, mark or cut a variety of materials. We can help you determine which process (fiber or CO2 Laser) is best suited for your specific needs.
Fiber laser is ideal for durable metal marking applications such as engraving, annealing, and high-contrast plastic markings.
CO2 lasers are widely used for their high contrast marking on materials such as stainless steel, wood, acrylic, glass, and more. Both allow for precise, durable marking.
Metalphoto Processing - For over 50 years, industrial and military engineers have specified Metalphoto photosensitive anodized aluminum for durable valve tags in harsh operating environments. Metalphoto’s proprietary technology permanently seals a UV-stable image inside anodized aluminum, offering the confidence of unparalleled durability, image resolution, and readability.
Chemical Etching - Chemically etched valve tags are manufactured by masking certain areas of metal with an acid resistant material. This allows the unmasked area to be dissolved away with acid, resulting in the masked areas remaining in relief. Depth can vary from 0.0015 to 0.003 inches, depending on the design and the material used, and offers options for color fill.
